News Posted February 11, 2010

We have two new additions to our herd! Our daugher, McKayla, has been looking for a bay filly for a while now and we found two. Many thanks to Jim and Marilyn of J-Sun Morgans for offering us such a beautiful pair of bay fillies. They are full sisters, coming 3 and 4 years old by JMF Royal Canadian Bear x Countess Wind Songs. We also send thanks to Marilyn from Valley View Morgans for connecting us with them. They will make a real nice team in the future and they will cross very well with Basic Black. See more about Breeze and Stormie on the mares page.

I have started Basic Black and Mystery under saddle. They are both doing great! They are both very willing and quick to learn with wonderful movement to ride. We really look forward to the foal that Basic Black and Mystery will produce in the spring.

JMF Mystery Cruise

JMF Basic Black arrived from Alberta Canada!

Will and Dorothy Janzen delivered JMF Basic Black to us October 17, 2009. We feel very fortunate to have the opportunity to own such a nice stallion. Basic Black's sire is the incredibly gorgeous Rum Brook Immortal Image and his dam is beautiful JMF Wild Mayflower. Both his sire and dam are rich with morgan heritage. We are very excited to cross him on the mare herd we have acquired. For more information about Basic Black see the Stallion page.

2003 15.3H solid black morgan stallion with perfect morgan type, incredible movement, charisma and a good mind.

JMF Mystery Cruise also arrived when the Janzen's delivered. She's a 2004 15H solid black mare and she's bred to JMF Basic Black for spring 2010. We are very excited to add such a nice mare to our herd, and to be having a foal coming by Basic Black. See more information about her on the mares page.

Our trip to Theodore Roosevelt Park in Medora, North Dakota September 2009.

We had a great trip riding out west with our good friends at Diamond Q Morgans. The scenery was beautiful, the weather was great, the horses did very well, and the company was fun.

Visitors from France!!

This past week August 5, 2009, we welcomed Nicolas and Daniele from France. They contacted us to purchase a morgan mare to import to France and begin breeding. There are only about 20 morgans in France (as of 2002) according to Nicolas, and they look forward to showing the people of France the morgan. They purchased Angel from us and she will ship in October after her foal is weaned. Congratulations to Nicolas and Daniele!!
