Basic Black has a presence that will take your breath away. . . He's incredibly beautiful with thick wavey hair, great morgan type, a kind eye and gorgeous head. He is very athletic with his movement being powerful and elegant. He's charismatic and light on his feet for such a big stallion with natural action and impulsion. See him schooling. He's quiet in nature, yet brave and curious. Both his sire and dam are rich with morgan heritage. See his sire, Rum Brook Immortal Image, at Janzen Morgan Farm. We have crossed Basic Black with 5 mares in our herd for spring 2011 foals, and we feel very blessed to have the opportunity to own such a stallion. We give special thanks to Will and Dorothy Janzen for offering him to us.

We have started Basic Black under saddle and he's doing very well. He's very willing and quick to learn. We love the western style and the classic dressage movement. After starting him myself under saddle, I contacted Alyssa Tisdell, who is a trainer and has a passion for dressage, to help school him. We have worked together this summer once a week training, and I would school him myself inbetween when time permitted. She has taught me a lot about the basics of dressage. We had plans to show him this fall in a schooling level show, however, Alyssa has decided to go to college in Missouri to further her education in dressage. We will miss her and wish her the best.
